It's possible for AI factions to recruit RoR so you might see them recruit the same RoR that you have in your own army, leading to 2 of the same RoR on the field. In rare cases, specific factions might lack access to a RoR that other factions of their race can recruit. In a few cases, multiple races may have access to the same regiments of renown - for instance Warriors of Chaos, Daemons of Chaos and Khorne have access to Knights of the Brazen Throne. The Regiments of Renown recruitment system and interface is open to modding, and it can be used for more than just adding other famous units. If a RoR is destroyed in battle or disbanded, then it does not permanently die but instead there is a cooldown before it may be recruited again. The number varies according to the unit – most just have one, though a small number have two, three or even four. Each regiment also gets one or more special abilities that its standard counterpart does not. However, most RoR still have greater stats than even a rank 9 version of their standard counterpart.Almost all RoR get a stats increase (higher leadership, melee attack, melee defence, and reload speed if they have a ranged attack) over their standard counterparts because they are automatically rank 9 units. In most cases, RoR become available to the player’s faction when a Lord (any lord from your faction) reaches a certain character level. They are recruited instantly into the selected army and do not require time to train.Regiments of Renown are recruited from a separate panel - click the button labelled Recruit Regiments of Renown next to your faction's standard recruitment buttons. Each RoR may only be recruited once by each faction. The fourth set of Regiments of Renown were added with Update 3.1.0. The third set of Regiments of Renown were added with Update 2.2.0, adding monsters for all seven WH3 races. Others, like the Blazing Squealers, can only be recruited by the Warriors of Chaos faction related to that specific monogod, in this case the Puppets of Misrule. Some, like The Sibilant Slaughtercade, even though the Regiment of Renown is related to Slaanesh, can be recruited by all Warriors of Chaos factions. The Warriors of Chaos get access to most of the Regiments of Renown released for the monogods and Daemons of Chaos. The Daemons of Chaos don't get any unique Regiments of Renown but can recruit all monogod regiments. The first bunch of Regiments of Renown were added with Update 1.2.0 and the second were added with Update 1.3.0. Each patch added one unit for each of the TWW3 launch races. Regiments of Renown were added in several patches following the launch of Total War: Warhammer III. They should not be confused with unique heroes and unique lords, or with allied recruitment, raise dead or other special forms of recruitment. Regiments of Renown or RoR are elite, semi-unique versions of standard units, with improved combat performance and abilities. New images can be uploaded here or by clicking on a red image link.
